AutoCAD 2007 users can create a tool palette using AutoCAD's DesignCenter.
(If you do not run AutoCAD 2007 software, please skip to the section below step 8)

These blocks are intended for use with AutoCAD R14 - AutoCAD 2007 software (or equivalent program that accepts *.dwg or *.dxf file formats).

To create a tool palette using AutoCAD's DesignCenter, please follow these steps:

1. On your local hard drive, create a folder and name it "AGAM Library" or something you will easily remember.

2. Copy from the AGAM Technical Catalog CD the desired blocks folder(s) (AutoCAD 2007 Inch, AutoCAD 2007 Metric, AutoCAD R14 Inch or AutoCAD R14 Metric).

Important: You must copy the blocks from the CD-ROM onto your hard drive. Accessing the blocks directly from the CD-ROM will produce errors within your AutoCAD software.

You may choose which libraries are most suited to your needs. Paste the library(s) into the folder that you created in the previous step "AGAM Library" or what ever you called it.

3. Launch AutoCAD 2007 and click on the DesignCenter tool button or type ADCENTER on the command line to open the DesignCenter window.

4. Use the "Folder List" on the left side of the window to navigate to the folder where you copied the libraries in step 2.

5. Right click on the folder that you would like to create a tool palette for. On the short cut menu that appears, click on Create Tool Pallet of Blocks.

6. You can now close the DesignCenter window.

7. If the Tool Palettes window is not on screen click on the Tool Palette tool button, or type TOOLPALETTES on the command line. This will launch the tool palettes window, click on the tab that has the name of the library that you right clicked on in step 5. You will now see the extrusion shapes in the window; you may scroll up or down to see all the shapes.

8. To insert an extrusion shape into a drawing simply click and drag the shape onto your drawing.

Prior software releases before AutoCAD 2007 will need to use insert command and use the blocks window to navigate to the AGAM stored blocks library.

These instructions are intended to guide experienced users of AutoCAD software on how to utilize AGAM blocks library. AGAM Group, Ltd. will not be held responsible for any and all software mishaps, misconfigurations or lost time that could result from the installation of these blocks. Please consult software users manual for further information that is not provided here.
